Movie Recommendations From Down The Hall #3

Movie Recommendations From Down The Hall volume 3

I just realized I haven’t posted one of these in a while, not that I haven’t been watching anything, I’ve just been narrow minded trying to get a lot of horror movies watched for the month of October.

so here we go!

Horror

Lights Out (2016) – I thought this was a smart horror movie, like the decisions of the characters were smart, especially for a horror movie.

Jacob’s Ladder (1990) – probably one of the most interesting thriller/horror movies I’ve seen. I haven’t heard of a lot of love for this movie, but even to this day, it still blows my mind.

Science Fiction

Alien (1979) – A sheer classic of epic proportions, if you haven’t seen this movie you’ve been missing out! It is badass. Can also be crosslisted under horror.

The Iron Giant (1999) –  will always be in my top 5 favorite animated films. Such a great and underrated flick in my opinion.

Fire In The Sky (1993) – crosslisted under horror – this movie is all about an alien abduction, based on a true event that happened in 1975. It’s really interesting, and geninely creepy. I highly reccomend this one if you can handle it!

Action

The Accountant (2016) – I just put up a review of this, but I really enjoyed this movie, you should go check it out! If you need more convincing, check out my previous review.

John Wick (2014) – just a fun action movie, after seeing the trailer for John Wick Chapter 2, this is an instant recommendation from me, in preportation for the sequels release date – Feb. 2017.

**note**

i have my name in for a contest to win passes to 3 advanced screenings. Moonlight, hacksaw Ridge and bad Santa 2. If I win these I’ll make sure to post about it and you better believe they’ll be a review post!
